Selections for Saturday, October 18th

Last week was certainly better than the week before, but a heartbreaking 1/2-point loss by Georgia prevented me from moving out of the red for the week. Let's see what kind of trouble we can get into this week. We're going to call this Road Week, cause we love us some road teams.

UPDATED: Had Cal not wilted in the second half against Arizona, I might have been able to pull of a 5-for-5 for the first time this year. Instead we finish up at 4-1, in what turned out to be a fairly easy weekend.

The Wazzu/USC over/under was absurd. Not sure what the oddsmakers were thinking when they set that one.

Miami -2 at Duke? In retrospect, that is another awful, awful line. And we'll take it.

USC at Washington State (Over 55.5) (USC 69-0, WIN...easily...who set the over/under on this game?)
LSU (-2) at South Carolina (LSU 24-17: WIN)
Cal (-2) at Arizona (Arizona 42-27; LOSS)
Oregon State (-14) at Washington (OSU 34-13; WIN)
Miami (-3) at Duke (Miami 49-31; WIN)

Current Line

Last Week: 2-3-0 (40% / 60% / 0%)
Overall: 11-22-2 (31% / 63% / 6%)

Wow, past 2 weeks I have plummeted myself. 1/2/0 last week, 14/15/1 overall.

Time to get back on the horse!

I'm learning, my best bets are the ones that counter your choice. I was liking South Carolina's chances against LSU but still have a lingering thought that LSU knows how to win. After seeing your pick, I like the Gamecocks. That also swings Arizona as a pick too. That doesn't hold for local teams...

Wisconsin at Iowa (-3.5)
Oregon St (-14) at Washington
Cal at Arizona (+3)
LSU at South Carolina (+2.5)
Missouri (+5.5) at Texas (straight up? #1 will fall again!)
Mississippi (+13) at Alabama

Wow, Mizzou over Tejas?!? That's a bold pick. And Ole Miss plus the points.

LSU knows how to win in Columbia, SC. Trust me.
