Thoroughbred Times: Georgia bill could pave way for racing, pari-mutuel wagering.
Currently, 39 states allow residents to bet on horse racing either at the track, at an OTB, or on-line using an Advance Deposit Wagering ("ADW") company. If this bill were to eventually become law, Georgia would join the ranks.
UPDATED: I wanted to add that according to this new Blood-Horse article, if this bill were to pas the Georgia legislature, then the Georgia voters would have to pass a constitutional resolution at the ballot box.
