If you want a little background to the story
The race was the Cheltenham Gold Cup – the premier staying jump race in the UK. The winners of the race for the last three years, and red hot favourites for victory again (Kauto Star and Denman) are trained in the same stable in the village of Ditcheat and victory for one of them was so expected the BBC man has been broadcasting live from the Ditcheat village pub for “reaction shots” leading up to the race and hoping for “reaction shots” after the expected win.
Half the village and a lot of the stable staff who weren’t at the races that day were all in the pub. As the video starts the race is ending and he is just reporting that neither horse won – hence the general silence – and then enter stage left yer man…

I love the reaction from the crowd behind the reporter when the guy starts yelling in the back. I couldn’t stop laughing the first time I saw it. Gotta love the races.
