Race 1
A three-horse battle for the early lead produces a late running victory by 2-Ravi’s Song (4.40)
Very quick fractions.
"A bad day at the track is better than a good day at the office."
Track is fast, Turf is firm, and Lane 1 is along the hedge
Program changes here.
"A bad day at the track is better than a good day at the office."
Race 3
3-Quick Delivery closed to take the first turf race of the day. The 30/1 cheap speed (7-Bird Empire) almost took them all the way around the track.

Quick Delivery pays $6.60
The Super comes back at $10,000

Race 4 is the first play for the Oaks/Derby handicapping contest
Dutrow’s 11-Fuzzy Britches takes the cash at 9/5.
Like the 5 a little bit in here at 11/1. Didn’t run well at CD but he should appreciate the class relief from that last effort.

Some serious speed in the 4th
21.20, 44.59, 56.94, and 1:09.96 for the 3yo fillies going six. 10-Funny Feeling gets upsets the fav at 7/1.

The head-on replay was pretty interesting...
Desormeaux only goes to the stick a few times, Calvin was working Rachel much harder…at least that’s what it appeared to look like.

There is $145,000 in the early Derby betting pool.
Super Saver is the favorite at 7/1 with Lucky second at 8/1.

I skipped the Pick 3 with the LaTroienne in order to avoid Rachel...
Probably a good choice as I would have gone down in flames.

7/2 on your winner, Lou Brissie.
Came off the pace after swift opening fractions.
The track is playing pretty fair today, if you go to fast in the dirt sprints, you will get passed in the stretch.

Grade 2 American Turf...
Setsuko bet down to 8/5.
Strike the Tiger, the Wesley Ward trainee that won a listed stake at Royal Ascot last summer as as two year old, will probably be your speed. If they let him get an easy lead he could be very hard to catch in the lane.

Wonderful ride by Dersormaux, send your horse on a suicidal pace...
Setsuko was no where to be found in the home stretch, might have got up to fourth.

The dirt has played pretty fairly to off the pace horses today...
