2010 Preakness Day Race Schedule/Post Times (Updated)
Below is the tentative Preakness day race schedule from the Pimlico condition book. the Preakness website:
Just a quick note on the schedule: does anyone find it odd that Pimlico is scheduling three graded stakes after the Preakness? I don't remember that being the case last year or the previous few years. Wouldn't handle be bigger in those races if they were before the Preakness? That would seem to make more sense to me.
UPDATED: A comment below pointed out that the Preakness website lists a different order than the Pimlico condition book, and it makes a lot more sense. I've updated the graphic to reflect this tentative schedule and added in the post times.

The Preakness Website
has a different schedule, where the Preakness is Race 12 (which is where it’s always been).

It also just has the one race afterwards, which is also normal on Preakness day.
You’re right though, it would be really dumb to put all the other stakes races after the Preakness. People definitely clear out shortly after the big race.

Thanks for pointing that out...
that schedule looks a lot more normal. The condition book as got to be an error, just doesn’t make sense in that order.

No problem
Did they rename the Barbaro (formerly Sir Barton) Stakes? That was usually the 2nd biggest race of the day.

I was thinking about the Barbaro this morning...
I can’t find any information about that this year. The list of stakes races on the Pimlico website doesn’t have the Barbaro listed and cursory search of their site yields nothing about this year’s race. I know Pimlico has had to suspend a few stakes races the last few years due to finances but I don’t know if that’s the issue with this race.
Anybody else have a clue about the Barbaro Stakes this year?
