2010 Woodward: Entries, Post Positions and Odds
Quality Road will attempt to bounce back after his defeat in the Whitney when he takes on six rivals in the Grade 1 Woodward at Saratoga. Mine That Bird will get a pair of blinkers and a new jockey (Rajiv Maragh) for the Woodward, although one wonders if what he really needs is a bit of class relief.

Am I Really Seeing This?
Arcodoro, who cost me the Keeneland title when I jumped off at the last minute, reappears here to be similiarly overlooked? Can it happen again? Does he have back-to-back bullets?
Now is the time boys to make a big noise.
No matter what the people say,
For there is naught to fear, the gang's all here,
So hail West Virginia, hail.
After the Whitney
do you think they’ll still send QR to the front, or do you think they’ll take him back? Sounded like Pletcher wants him to track from 2nd (probably realizes that’s his best chance to get 1 1/4 at some point.)

Good question.
Tough to tell with a seven horse field. All/QR/All is a $30 bet. Just a guess, but I would think a Tri with QR in the 2nd would pay, eh, at most $100 or $150 for $2. I don’t know, just a guess. Depends a lot on the price of the winner. If it’s Convocation, probably won’t pay a lot.
Just for reference: the Tri for the Met Mile, which was QR over 8/1 over 24/1, paid $74 for $2 bet.

I would think so...
Convocation seems a bit interesting…some tactical speed to stay within striking distance, but the rest (save Mine That Bird) are pretty much allowance level types.
Even he just runs the same race as he did in the Whitney (or even a bit worse), I think QR would be tough for a lot of these to beat.

(save Zenyatta) everybody eventiually has a poor showing.
still I think QR would have to finish 3rd to make any money and that is highly unlikely.
Yeah, probably.
It looks like a tough race to hit something nice unless you nail something straight up for $20 or something like that. The Forego, however, looks like a pretty good betting race.
