TTimes: Ascot to stage British Champions Day in 2011
Ascot will hold a British Champions Day in 2011 two weeks after the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and two weeks before the Breeders' Cup. The October 16th card will feature six races worth £3 million ($4.7 million U.S.) and will include both the Graoup 1 Champion Stakes and the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. Currently, those races are run on different weekends and at different tracks (Champion at Newmarket; QEII at Ascot).
