NHC purse could top $2 million in 2012
Looks like we all have even more incentive to try and qualify for this thing... especially in 2012...if we're all still here. Actually, the 2012 prophecy is for 12/12/12 and the NHC is in January so we're good to go.

Hey, I Got That Email, Too...
…and I really like the idea of forcing everyone to be on the the Tour if that person wants to qualify. And with 500 spots, I think they are going to go way deeper than the top 20 in points who have not already qualified. Also, the price point is awesome…45 bucks. Who wouldn’t go for that? I do hope that they add even more online tourneys.
Now is the time boys to make a big noise.

Spot on.
You know, we’ve talked about things that the industry can do to bring people into the game and I think these handicapping contests are a nice way to do that. And by increasing the prize pool, well, that’s will usually grab attention. I think it’s great they are expanding the scope and visibility of the NHC.
Emerald Downs is going to have a bunch of small, on-track tournaments the next three Fridays for a $20 entry fee. The prize money won’t be huge but it’s a nice way to get more contest practice. Plus, they offer $2 drafts on Fridays…so that’s nice.
