Biggest remaining question is where Jackson Bend goes. For the longest time it was always the DM, but in last week Zito has been strongly hinting Sprint, since it looks like the Sprint may be coming up really short. And THAT is a whole other discussion. I love the new races, but the DM is killing precisely the SPRINT. When would a horse like Trappe Shot ever not go in the Sprint back in the day. The f&m sprint isn’t helping either. If Hilda’s Passion was still with us she’d be less than 2:1 in the filly race, but back in the day would be a legitimate price horse with a shot in the real race. Ah well, the price (pardon the pun) we pay for having more races to bet. Judging simply by his works (as he is friggin short on number power), Euroears is going to run them into the ground anyway in the 6f’s. Of course that might be exactly why Zito wants to go there. Amazombie the only other confirmed closer in the race. Maybe he figures he’ll get the pace trip setup from heaven. We’ll know tomorrow.
Yep, spot on - the Dirt Mile has hurt the Sprint the last few years
When that race was first introduced, many wrote that it would be made up of the fringe Classic horses, but what’s it’s turned out to be is a spot for sprinters that want a little more ground. The Sprint used to always be packed to the gills but now it’s a struggle to get a full field in the gate.

Big Drama
Over a short layoff Big Drama has run quite well, Not precisely the same circumstances but………
As a two year old: Came back from the Florida State Reality 400k (90 beyer 1st place) to run 1st in the Delta Downs Jackpot G3 (96 beyer)… 48 days off
As a three year old: coming back from the Delta Downs Jackpot he won the Swale G2 (108 byeer) ……. 103 days off
As a 4 year old going into his 5 year old campaign: He won the BC Sprint last year (108 beyer) , came back off a short layoff to win the Mr Prospector G3 (120 beyer) ….. 71 days off
This race? he is coming in after 62 days off.
Just some thoughts.
I haven't decided what to do with Big Drama
I don’t mind the layoff but I didn’t care for his last race down at Calder. I’m just not sure if he’s at the same level as last year. Of course, the Sprint kicks my butt EVERY year… so everyone should run to the windows and bet any horse I think can’t win this race.

Amazombie
Brad Free almost has me convinced on Amazombie……almost, if he keeps mentioning him in every video from here on out (likely) he may get me to switch.
