I also heard that he was freaking out in the paddock area also.
All that being said, I still find when I sit here and try to make excuses for horses, they end up biting me in the arse. I was as big on him as anyone, but in the grand scheme of life that horse is now 2 for 6 lifetime and just looked horrendous on Saturday. Too much evidence to me to suggest that the only problem was that a gate worker pulled on his ear.
The Angels physically disgust me.
Yeah, it's tough to find an excuse for that performance...
I may not totally dismiss him next time out but the race will have to set-up just right for me to get involved on his side.
