From the WTOBA press release:
"In a highly contested "race", the nearly perfect Noosa Beach was named Washington Horse of the Year and Champion Older Male runner. The 2010 Longacres Mile (G3) winner faced his stiffest competition for the title from R.E.V, Racing’s Atta Boy Roy, who won the Churchill Downs Stakes (G2), on Kentucky Derby Day, from his midwest base last year."

Both great horses.
Both are great horses, but I was pleased Noosa Beach won, the horse raced at the track, and accomplished something that had not been done before. Selfishly I want to see Noosa Beach race elsewhere, to see how he would stack up, but that is not up to me. Also I may be dreaming, but I also want to see Atta Boy Roy come back and race in the mile this year.
I would have liked to have seen him run in the Dirt Mile
like you, it’s nice to see Washington-breds get an opportunity on a bigger stage once and a while. I’m looking forward to seeing him back at Emerald this spring/summer.
"A bad day at the track is better than a good day at the office."
