Thoroughbred Times: Gulfstream to race year round
According to the article, Gulfstream would go to twice-a-week racing beginning on July 1st.
I have no idea how this impacts other tracks in Florida or what the regulations are in terms of dividing racing dates, etc., but I'm going to take a guess that there's going to be some disagreements over this.

This should be an interesting story to follow because it sure seems like a move by Gulfstream to try and take down Calder. Unless Miami needs two tracks running at the same time.

I’ve never taken the time to look at the distance between these two tracks, but according to Goolge Earth, it’s a titanic six or seven miles. Yeah, that’s not gonna to work.
