News from our SB Nation Atlanta community indicates that pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing in the state of Georgia is one step closer to reality

I believe it was over a year ago or so that we heard reports of legislation in Georgia to legalize pari-mutuel wagering in that state. Since that time, things have been a bit silent on the issue.

For the racing industry, the addition of another state where it's legal to bet on the races would be welcome news.
