The Racing Post: Goldikova (IRE) begins season with 13th Group 1 victory
It's Goldikova's world, we all just live in it.
Not to take anything away from the Triple Crown series and yesterday's Preakness, but the best horse in the world has started her 2011 campaign in her typical style. Three-time Breeders' Cup Mile winner Goldikova won the nine furlong Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp today, a race a touch farther than her best mile distance. The going was rated as "Good".
There was some excellent racing around the world this weekend, including the Guineas and the Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland. I'll have an international recap in the coming days.

Hope so.
That would be a great match-up with Canford Cliffs.

What are her
Lifetime earnings? I know Curlin has won the most, at least in the states, but I would think for sure she would be close to eclipsing that mark, if she hasn’t already.
She's got a ways to go,
primarily due to the fact that she’s never run in the $5 races (Curlin winning both the World Cup and BC Classic pretty much put him in to the stratosphere of earnings).
Right now, Goldikova has won about £3.8 million, which is roughly $6.1 million over here (if my calculations are correct), so she’s about $4.5 million behind. It don’t think she’s got enough purses ahead of here to really get near that. The Breeders’ Cup would be another million, if she wins it again.

Wow, I guess I just didn't realize
the kind of purses she was running for. Those 2 races for Curlin really were huge wins money wise.
Yeah, they were pretty big.
I think the World Cup was $5 or $6 mil at the time, and the Classic was something like $4 or $5 mil. (can’t remember off the top of my head). So he probably won over $4 mil just with those two races.
