Around SBN: Bill Stewart Dead From Apparent Heart Attack

Prior to last fall's Breeders' Cup there was a lot of talk about a pending sale of Sidney's Candy to an unknown ownership group. A deal was never finalized and the colt went on to run in the Mile, finishing 6th. Today we learn that the Candy Ride colt has been sold to WinStar and will transfer to the barn of Todd Pletcher. Sidney's Candy is expected to point towards races on the East Coast this summer and fall.

That's what I thought, too.

Only 8+ months to get that done. The time frame leads me to believe this was more a breeding acquisition than a racing one, which marks sense.
