Kentucky Derby 2012: Schedule For The Week Ahead

Union Rags

It's the start of Derby Week 2012, which means a week full of Derby related posts around the site. Below is a look at what's on tap here at ADTSTC over the next week. Plus, we'll probably have a couple of posts from our esteemed authors on a variety of other Derby topics. We'll start the week in the most appropriate way possible with the 2012 Kentucky Derby Bourbon Post. From there we'll take a look at the entries for the Oaks, Derby, and the undercards for both Friday and Saturday.

The NBC SportsNetwork will have coverage of the post position draw beginning at 5:00pm Eastern on Wednesday. If you can't watch it on TV, we'll have a live blog of the draw.

On both Friday and Saturday there will be an all-day Churchill Downs open thread.

Saturday morning is also the day that England will run their first classic race of the season, the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. I'll have a preview of that race on Friday.
