After a little break last week, Friday Night Lights is back with a trip to Iowa and the card at Prairie Meadows. A nice nine-race card is slated to kick-off at 7:30pm Eastern/4:30pm Pacific with a 4 1/2 furlong affair for two-year-old colts. The feature race on the card (race 8) is a six furlong sprint for Iowa-bred, Allowance/Optional Claiming race open to fillies and mares aged three-years-old and up. Five of the nine races feature fields of at least eight betting interests

Prairie Meadows is a one-mile dirt oval that does not conduct any turf racing. The track, located in Altoona, Iowa (just a couple of miles north east of downtown Des Moines), offers $0.50 Pick 4s beginning with race two and race six, rolling Pick 3s, Daily Doubles on the first and last two races (1 & 2; 8 & 9), and $0.10 Superfectas all night long.
