Very interesting piece from Bloodhorse this morning on the Japanese racing industry. The most intriguing part to me is the focus on Sunday Silence and how he alone took the Japanese-bred runners to an internationally competitive level. I oftentimes forget, but the money in Japan and Hong Kong is huge. There's a push now to get China in on racing as well, and Coolmore announced a joint venture there a few months ago.
