Writer and handicapper Gary Dougherty has put together a comprehensive database of the winners of every Emerald Downs stakes races (minimum purse $25,000) from the track's opening in 1996 over at his blog Horse Racing / Seattle Sports. The database is a great way to dig into the performances of the jockeys, trainers and horses over the 15+ years of Emerald Downs.

Gary worked at The Seattle Times for over twenty years and was the paper's Emerald Downs handicapper for many years. His site is a great resource for the history of horse racing at Emerald Downs and Seattle sports. He also has a couple of great databases on his site that dive into the long and proud history of unlimited hydroplane racing in Washington state.

The link below will take you to the database on Gary's site, and I've also embedded a link to the database over on the left sidebar.
