The beginning of the 2012 Del Mar meeting brings with it a 4:00pm Pacific start time for every Friday night card, setting us up perfectly for some summer Friday Night Lights. I'll also be playing some races from Emerald Downs on Friday evening; their first post is 6:00pm Pacific.

Del Mar's Friday card looks like it's going to be a good one with several big fields on the schedule, along with the Grade 3 Cougar II Handicap at one and a half miles on the Polytrack. The Bob Baffert trained Richard's Kid leads the field of six.
The card at Emerald will contain seven races with rolling Daily Double and Pick 3s throughout the card. The $0.50 Pick 5 begins with race 3.
