Shackleford scratches out of the Forego due to a cough and will point towards the Kelso Mile for his next start.
Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone. We've come to the last days of the summer meets at Del Mar and Saratoga, with the G1-Woodward (post time: 5:45pm Eastern; TV: NBC), G1-Forego and G1-Spinaway highlighting the Saratoga card, and the G2-Del Mar Derby, G2-Yellow Ribbon and G1-Del Mar Futurity the prime attraction out at Del Mar. Also this weekend, Arlington Park will run the G3-Washington Park Handicap (Saturday), Monmouth features juveniles in the G3-Sapling (Sunday), and Parx offers a pair of stakes races, including the G3-Turf Monster (Monday) at five panels on the grass.
