I'm Boundtoscore, sent to post at odds of 10/1, takes the Summer Stakes field from gate-to-wire for the victory and a spot in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita. Are You Kidding Me made a spirited run from the back of the pack to finish second by a quarter of a length, while Indiano Jones and Best Play finished third and fourth, respectively.
Archer Hill, the 5/2 betting favorite, swung six or seven wide entering the top of the stretch but didn't have the closing kick needed to threaten the leaders in the late stages. He finished seventh in the field of eight.
