Only eight days until the 2010 Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs which means a house littered with past performances, results charts, and other assorted racing data as I try to sift through all 14 divisions and formulate a wagering plan for November 5th and 6th. There really is nothing like the days leading up to the Breeders' Cup from a handicapping perspective.
I'm currently working on a couple of different items that I hope to get posted later this afternoon/early evening. The first is an interview I had this morning with Ken Kirchner, President of Falkirk International. Mr. Kirchner directs the wagering product for the Breeders' Cup Ltd. and was kind enough to take time away from his busy schedule to share with me his thoughts on this year's Breeders' Cup and what he envisions in the future for racing's biggest event.
The second item I'm working on is an initial preview of this year's Classic. There's nothing too earth shattering in the preview given the fact we've all had plenty of months to formulate our ideas as to how this race will unfold. But I wanted to share a couple of thoughts I have on the race now that the pre-entries are out, and at the same time provide a venue for you to discuss your take on betting the Classic.
