-Not much to talk about with this installment of Classic futures as only Rachel Alexandra saw movement in odds from the last update. The move from 10/1 to 5/1 makes a lot of sense as I'm sure there were a lot of players lining up that grab those odds on the 2009 Horse of the Year.
-These odds were released before last weekend's Haskell Stakes so I would expect Lookin At Lucky to see his odds go down in the next installment.

-Golkikova is currently 2/1 at the Wynn to three-peat in the Mile; I doubt we'll see anything that good on race day.
-Starspangledbanner won a group race at Royal Ascot this past June.
-As I mentioned in a previous post, Tizdejavu ran a huge race on the Churchill Downs turf on the Fourth of July and, in my opinion, is one of the top American contenders for the Mile. 18/1 isn't too bad of a line for a colt with a decent amount of talent and previous success over the course.

-The Turf might be the most difficult race to analyze for future odds given the uncertainty surrounding which Euorpean contenders will ship to Louisville. For example, if we knew for certain that Harbinger was going to point towards the Turf, then those 12/1 odds look magnificent. But since there is a huge question mark as to whether his connections will even come to the U.S., the odds don't look as enticing.
-Paddy O'Prado at 15/1 isn't a bad line at all. While he's yet to step-up and face older horses in his career, I don't think it's a stretch to predict that he'll fare well against older turf competition like Gio Ponti and Precious Passion.
-Twice Over's 20/1 might make an interesting play for a couple of reasons. First, he's a quality runner on the lawn and has competed well at the top level of European racing. Second, his connections have already displayed a willingness to ship him to North America when they brought him over in 2009 to run in the Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita. The only problem I have with Twice Over as a potential Turf contender is the fact that he's been a ten furlong horse for his entire career and I'm not sold that he'll want another quarter of a mile. However, at 20/1 odds, that might not be a horrible future wager.
