The Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes headlines a quartet of graded stakes at the Fair Grounds on Saturday afternoon. (Post time: 4:55pm; TV: HRTV) The top three finishers from last month's G3-Le Comte Stakes - Mr. Bowling, Z Dager and Shared Property - lead a field of 11 three-year-old colts in search of valuable graded earnings on the road to the 2012 Kentucky Derby. El Padrino, Todd Pletcher's stylish winner at Gulfstream against Allowance company last time out, leads the cast of new shooters at the Fair Grounds and is the morning line favorite at odds of 2/1.
Below are the entries and post positions for the Risen Star. I'll have a preview of this race, and all of the big weekend stakes action, on Friday.
