The Santa Margarita might be the only Grade 1 race scheduled for this coming weekend, but the Grade 2 Inside Information is by far the deeper and more competitive race (post time: 5:35pm Eastern; TV: HRTV). The seven furlong event for older fillies and mares on the main track at Gulfstream Park drew a field of eleven, including Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint winner Musical Romance, G3-Hurricane Bertie winner R Holiday Mood, G3-Victory Ride winner Hot Summer, G3-Gardenia winner Groupie Doll, G2-Fritchie winner Magical Feeling, and G1-Prioress winner Her Smile.
Musical Romance will attempt to rebound from a dull fourth place finish in the Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Sprint back on January 28th. If you look back through her entire past performance history, Musical Romance has generally performed much better in her second start after a layoff. Given the strength of this field, she'll need every bit of improvement in order to come out on top.
