The Friday night card at Del Mar kicks off their eight race card at 4:00pm Pacific with a $50,000 Maiden Claimer at 5 1/2 furlongs on the Polytrack. The feature race on the card is the 60th running of the Grade 3 Cougar II Handicap at a mile and a half on the main track. Richard's Kid, third in the Cougar II last year, is your 4/5 morning line favorite for trainer Bob Baffert.
