It's a big weekend of stakes action on tap all across the continent; California, Florida, New York, New Jersey - you name the track, they've probably got a good stakes race this weekend. Three grade 1 races (Hollywood Gold Cup, Princess Rooney and United Nations) along with what looks to be a great renewal of the Suburban Handicap, headline the racing this weekend. Very hot temperatures are expected along the east coast (some tracks have already cancelled racing), so keep an eye how things unfold at each track.

The big weekend of racing has already begun across the Atlantic where Nathaniel (IRE) held off a late charge from Farhh (GB) to win the Group 1 Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown. So You Think (NZ) was scheduled to run in this race but was retired earlier this week following an injury during training. Twice Over (GB) rounded out the top 3 in the Coral-Eclipse.

A couple of program notes ahead of today's races:

  • Caixa Electronica has scratched out of the Suburban.
  • Trinniberg will run in the G3-Carry Back, not the G2-Smile Sprint.

Below are the winner's and payouts for Saturday's Graded stakes races. Click on the winner's name to go to the PDF result chart at DRF.com.
