Update: Things seem to be back to normal, at least on my end.

It's Woodbine Mile Day in Canada with the $1 million Grade 1 Woodbine Mile (post time: 5:42pm Eastern; TV: TVG) topping the eleven race card, and the G2-Canadian, G3-Ontario Derby and G1-Northern Dancer featured on the undercard. All of today's races from Woodbine can be viewed live on TVG or through Woodbine's website live stream.

Below are the running results from today's Woodbine card:

Race 1: The day gets started in Canada with 3-D'Wildcat Gold breaking her maiden in her fourth lifetime start at odds of 3/1. This was her fourth try at the $32k level.

Open company $20k Claimers up next; 7-Erma Lee jumps up a level first time off the claim for trainer Kevin Attard. 3-Little B Rosson takes a slight cup in price after finishing 3rd, beaten 1 3/4 lengths against $25k company last time out at Presque Isle Downs.

Race 2: The rail horse, 1-Adreamandaprayer, shot out of the gate and staked himself to an almost ten length lead before running out of gas coming off the far turn. 2-Cabriole took charge at the top of the land and held on for the win at odds of 7/1. The favorites, 3-Little B Rosson and 7-Erma Lee, never seriously threatened the winner.

Race 3: A four-way dash to the wire in which 6-Seething gets up to win by a length at odds of almost 6/1. This was Seething's first time racing for a tag in seven career starts. He had finished 6th, beaten 12 lengths, against N1X company last time out.

Back-to-back $10+ winners keys a $0.20 Pick 3 of 44.09 (yep, Woodbine offers a $0.20 Pick Three, along with a $0.20 Super).

The first three races on the day have triggered exacta (or EXACTOR, for the Canadians) payouts of $25.85, $44.55 and $65.00 for a $1 base bet. Not a bad return at all.

Race 4: A bit of a messy beginning to the fourth race on the card. 1-Is It Cool broke poorly and spotted the field several lengths. On the far side, post time favorite 9-Where Oh Where ducked out after leaving the gate, dumped her jock and then jumped the outer rail.

With the 8/5 favorite out of the race after the break, 7-Sunshine Promise used a late surge to score at fat odds of 11/1, keying a $0.20 Pick 3 of $235.63. The 7/6 Exacta comes back at $130.90 for $1.00.

The first stakes race of the day, the Grade 2 Canadian, is up next in race 5.

Race 5 - G2 Canadian: Chalk one up for the Euro invaders as 4-Barefoot Lady (IRE) scores at odds of 7/1 in her North American debut for Richard Fahey. Barefoot Lady came into the Canadian off of a 4th place finish in the G3-Strensall Stakes at York on August 24th.

Race 6: Breaking quickly from the gate and assuming command of the race in the opening furlong, 5-Sea Bank takes the field gate-to-wire in the sixth race at big odds of 17/1. State (province)-bred maidens...shesh!

The big prices keep rollin' on home at Woodbine today; Sea Bank's victory keyed a $508.81 Pick 3 for $0.20.

Race 7 - G3 Ontario Derby: A strong finish by 7-Stealcase secures the victory over 9-Any Given Royal and 2-River Rush; a chalky finish to race 7 but a huge Pick 4 payout of over $3,700.

Race 8: Wigmore Hall (IRE) repeats in the G1-Northern Dancer with a game performance over Al Khali in the final furlong to win by a head.

The Trakus data flatters Wigmore Hall even more: Wigmore Hall ran 28 feet furlther than Al Khali and 29 feet further than Forte Dei Marmi. The longest trip in the field was run by Scalo at 8,077, nine feet more than Wigmore Hall.
