It's early on a Saturday morning (at least out here on the West Coast) and we're slated for a full day of great racing action from Dubai to Florida to New Orleans. The day is already underway at Meydan for World Cup Day with the feature race, the $10 million Dubai World Cup, scheduled to run at 2:05 p.m. Eastern time.

Gulfstream Scratches & Changes
Fair Grounds Scratches & Changes
Major weather is hitting, or has already hit, both Florida and Louisiana in the last day. The Fair Grounds cancelled Friday's card due to heavy rains; the main track may be okay by post time for the Louisiana Derby but, just a hunch, the turf course isn't going to be anywhere near "firm".
Out in Florida, scattered thunderstorms are possible for the entire Hallendale Beach area, especially later in the afternoon. Hopefully, whatever falls will be quick and the track will hold up.
In Dubai... oh, that's right... it's in the desert. The forecast: hot and dry with the chance of rain at "Are you freaking kidding me?" percent.
This is your weekend open thread.
