Latest Horseracing Tips and Bets

After yet another win yesterday, our third in a row, for our Next Best selection, Mrs Grimley, in the 2.02pm race at Southwell, we are back with more tips on every race from the UK and Ireland on Wednesday and check out the latest racing odds. The meetings from Newton Abbot, Hamilton, and Beverley all get underway in the early afternoon.

Meanwhile the remaining three racing from Wexford, Ripon and Warwick get underway in the late afternoon and evening and run through the night. The first race sets off at Newton Abbot, with the last race of the day on getting underway at 8.30pm at Ripon. We have selected a NAP and NEXT BEST bet for you, one from Newton Abbot and one from Hamilton, to add to your bet slip as well as racing bets and tips on the day.

Our Next Best bet comes from up in Scotland where we have sided with Nearly A Gonna to win this Class 4 Handicap over six furlongs. The 5-year-old gelding won last time out over the same distance, again in a Class 4, as a big priced 20/1 outsider at Carlisle just nine days ago. He seems to run well when active, so this quick turnaround should suit Nearly A Gonna. Runs off a mark of 68 which does look achievable for him. Phil Dennis takes the reigns for Tim Easterby today as Nearly A Gonna looks to make it back-to-back wins for the first time in his racing career.

As major horse racing events go, Royal Ascot is at the very top of the list for the Flat and over the summer. It’s an important meeting not simply because it’s also a major social occasion and royalty attends. The quality of the races is second to none with many overseas runners coming to the Berkshire track near Windsor Castle for some mega prize money. It’s important that the betting odds for Royal Ascot reflect the hotly competitive nature of the events.

Many horses come to the royal meeting with live chances. You only have to look back at previous Royal Ascot results to see favourites being turned over. That tells us a lot about what goes on across the five days and cards. With such a high standard of and international runners among the competition, Royal Ascot odds today need to offer you value as a punter. For some, ante post betting well in advance of the meeting is the answer.

Other punters enjoy the puzzle of a big field handicap with extra places available, so it’s perfect for an each way play. Whatever your desired angle into Royal Ascot betting, the odds dictate all. These are historic races with a rich heritage and many go back well over a century. It’s not just prestige but the big prize money that attracts the best Flat thoroughbreds in training to come here.
