2014 Belmont Stakes: Entries, Post Positions & Odds

The field is set for the 2014 Belmont Stakes with California Chrome seeking the ever elusive Triple Crown.

So it comes down to this. Big Sandy. The Test of Champions. California Chrome in of field of 11 three-year-old colts in the mile and a half Belmont Stakes in an attempt to end a 36-year Triple Crown drought. The Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner rolls into Elmont, New York on a six-race win streak with just a lucky number seven to go to seal his place in racing history. The 2014 Belmont Stakes is scheduled to go to post at 6:52 p.m. Eastern time with coverage provided by NBC.

California Chrome drew post position 2 and was installed as the 3/5 morning line favorite by the Belmont Park odds maker. Ride On Curlin, runner up to Chrome in the Preakness, drew post position 5 and is 12/1 on the morning line. Kentucky Derby runner-up Commanding Curve drew post 4 and is 15/1 on the morning line. Wicked Strong is the second choice on the morning line at odds of 6/1.
