2013 Breeders' Cup Sprint Results: Secret Circle surges late

Secret Circle gave trainer Bob Baffert his second win on the day with his victory in the Breeders' Cup Sprint.

Secret Circle, racing for just the second time since April of 2012 and after racing on October 14, rallied late to win the Breeders' Cup Sprint in a stylish performance on the Santa Anita main track. Gentlemen's Bet broke a bit slow along the rail but zipped to the front to take the lead, faded to third at the wire. Laugh Track closed hard from the back of the pack to grab second.

Secret Circle is a four-year-old colt by Eddington out of a Dixieland Band mare (Ragtime Hope), trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Martin Garcia. Secret Circle won the now-defunct Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint at Churchill Downs in 2011 and is a perfect four-for-four in races at six furlongs.
