2014 Swale Stakes: Entries, Post Positions & Odds

No Nay Never and Havana to make their three-year-old debuts at Gulfstream.

Alan Crowhurst

No Nay Never, a multiple group stakes winner in Europe as a juvenile, makes his three-year-old debut on  the Gulfstream Park main track in Saturday's Grade 3 Swale Stakes (post time: 5:10 pm Eastern; TV: HRTV).  Havana, winner of the Grade 1 Champage Stakes and runner-up in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, will also make his three-year-old debut in the Swale.

No Nay Never began his career with a two length victory over Maiden Special Weight company on the Keeneland Polytrack back in mid April before traveling across the Atlantic to face considerably stiffer competition. His first start in Europe saw him win the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes during Royal Ascot, followed by a score in the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville in mid August.

While No Nay Never has never raced over a dirt surface (and his win in Deauville, France came over ground labeled "Soft"), his work pattern at Gulfstream the past couple of months suggests the ground shouldn't be a major issue. Of course, we never know how a horse will really perform over new ground until they go out and prove it. Saturday's is No Nay Never's chance to do just that.

Below are the entries and post positions for the Swale Stakes. Morning line odds will be added when released.
