Game On Dude beat an over-matched field in the Grade 1 Awesome Again and is on his way to the 2012 Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita.

Game On Dude racing early in a perfect stalking position right off of Winning Machine, went by the long shot frontrunner with ease at the top of the stretch and then held off Nonios inside the final furlong to win the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes by three lengths at the wire. Richard's Kid ran on well to grab the third spot while Rail Trip finished fourth.

The victory in the Aweseom Again is Game On Dude's second win in a Grade 1 race in 2012 following wins in the G1-Hollywood Gold Cup on July 7th.

Game On Dude is a five-year-old gelding by Awesome Again out of a Devil His Due mare (Wordly Pleasure), trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Rafael Bejarano

A powerful late kick propels Marketing Mix to the victory in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita.

Sitting behind what was an inexplicably hot pace in the early stages, favorite Marketing Mix rolled to the lead at the top of the stretch and won the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive by four or five lengths over Nereid. Stormy Lucy finished third in the field of 13.

Thisismystage and Let's Go Cheyenne broke well from the gate and, for some reason that I can't figure out, set extremely fast early fractions, clicking off the opening six furlongs in 23.69, 45.78 and and sprinter-like 1:09.62. At that point, the only question is how quickly the rest of the field would inhale the leaders. Turns out, it didn't take long. By the time the leaders hit the far turn they had nothing left in the tank and were easy prey for the fillies and mares charging home behind them.

With her victory in the Rodeo Drive, Marketing Mix assured herself a spot in the starting gate for the 2012 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Santa Anita on November 2nd.

Marketing Mix is a four-year-old filly by Medaglia d'Oro out of a Kris S. mare (Instant Thought), trained by Thomas Proctor and ridden by Garrett Gomez.

Love and Pride did all the dirty work on the front end en route to a gate to wire victory in the Grade 1 Zenyatta Stakes at Santa Anita.

In her last start, Love and Pride scored a big upset over Royal Delta and It's Tricky in the Grade 1 Personal Ensign in a fantastic performance. She backed that up performance with an easy victory in the Grade 1 Zenyatta Stakes at Santa Anita. Setting moderate but honest fractions in the early stages, Love and Pride grabbed the lead right after leaving the gate and was never seriously threatened in the final furlongs.

Post time favorite Amani (CHI) raced well back of the lead pack in the early stages, attempted to make a move on the far turned, faded badly in the stretch and was never a factor.

Up next for Love and Pride is the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic at Santa Anita on November 2nd.

Following the race there was a jockey's objection between Rosie Napravnik/Joyful Victory and Martin Pedroza/Via Villagio. After a review of the tape, the results were unchanged.

A maiden no more; Power Broker easily wins the Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita.

Power Broker, winless in three career starts, swept to the lead at the top of the stretch and pulled away from his rivals to easily win the Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Know More set the early pace and held to finish second. Capo Bastogne finished third.

In addition to being part of the Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" series, the FrontRunner is also a scoring race on the Road to the 2013 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
Executiveprivilege dominates the Grade 1 Chandelier and head to the Breeders' Cup as the favorite for the Juvenile Fillies.

Executiveprivlege, sent off at odds of 1/5, broke well from the gate, set the early pace with little resistance from her rivals and blew away the field to win the Grade 1 Chandelier by almost ten lengths at the wire. Scarlett Strike finished strong to grab second place and Miss Empire rounded out the trifecta.

Executiveprivilege's dominating victory in the Chandelier makes her the clear favorite for the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita Park on November 2nd.

Following the morning scratches of Renee's Queen, Beholder (the second choice on the morning line) and Contessa's Moment, Executiveprivilege's status as the heavy favorite was completely solidified. In the minutes leading up to the Chandelier, Executiveprivilege sported odds of 1/2 to 2/5, before her price was hammered to 1/5 by the time the gate opened.

Flat Out surged past Stay Thirsty in the final stride to win the Jockey Club Gold Cup for the second year in a row.

Flat Out made a late surge at the wire to beat pace setting Stay Thirsty by a head and win the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup for the second consecutive year. Stay Thirsty finished second while the post time favorite, Fort Larned, faded to third. Long shot Atigun rounded out the superfecta.

Running over a dirt track rated as "good" following heavy rains overnight in New York, Stay Thirsty, Ruler on Ice and San Pablo set a solid early pace. Morning line favorite Ron the Greek was well back, almost 15 lengths behind in the early stages, while post time favorite Fort Larned raced in middle of the pack through the first mile. Fort Larned then made a move coming off the far turn but could find no more when challenged by Flat Out at the top of the stretch. Stay Thirsty, fighting on gamely in deep stretch, only surrendered the lead in the final stride.

Point of Entry could not be denied his third consecutive Grade 1 victory.

Point of Entry powered past Treasure Beach (GB) inside the final quarter mile to win the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic at Belmont Park, his fifth consecutive win and third straight Grade 1 win.
Little Mike set a soft pace right from the outset, clicking off an opening quarter in 25.70 seconds and a half-mile in 51.99. Treasure Beach and Point of Entry sat second and third, in no hurry to put pressure on Little Mike. Point of Entry and Treasure Beach decided to go to the front heading into the far turn, with Treasure Beach gaining a narrow advantage until John Velazquez took Point of Entry wide off the turn. One he he was asked for more run at the top of the stretch, Point of Entry surged to the front to capture the victory.

Nahrain splits foes inside the final furlong to win the Flower Bowl by a half-length over Zagora.

It was a European free-for-all in the closing stages of the Flower Bowl as a four-horse battle for the finish line saw Nahrain (GB) and John Velazquez squeeze in-between rival horses to beat Zagora (FR) by a half-length at the wire. Dream Peace (IRE) and I'm A Dreamer (IRE) were in the mix with the top two inside the final quarter mile.

The stewards took a looks a the tape following the race due to some bumping between Nahrain and I'm A Dreamer at the top of the stretch. Ultimately, no changes were made and the final order of finish was confirmed as Nahrain, Zagora, Dream Peace and I'm A Dreamer - a top four of European-bred horses.

Nahrain sat in the middle of the pack through soft early fractions, angled out three or four wide when coming off the far turn, produced a good turn of foot inside the final furlong and split horses to get the victory.
