Arlington Million 2013 Results: Real Solution makes it a Ramsey trifecta

Real Solution capped a huge day for owners Ken & Sarah Ramsey.

The Apache (SAF), split horses at the top of the lane, powered to the front of the field, and gamely held off a strong, late charge from Ken Ramsey's Real Solution to cross the line first in the 31st running of the Grade 1 Arlington Million. However, an objection was lodged following the finish of the race against The Apache as he came out off the rail in deep stretch and bumped repeatedly with Real Solution. After the stewards looked at the tape, The Apache was taken down and Real Solution was declared the winner.

Real Solution's victory in the Million gave Ken & Sarah Ramsey three Grade 1 victories on the day, all of which are offspring of their stallion Kitten's Joy. Prior to the Million, Admiral Kitten won the Secretariat Stakes for three-year-old colts, while out in New York at Saratoga, Big Blue Kitten won the Sword Dancer.

Real Solution is a four-year-old colt by Kitten's Joy out of a Pulpit mare (Reachfortheheavens), trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Alan Garcia
